In maths we have been focusing our learning around the terminology 'more than' and 'less that'. The children have been using objects to represent their number sentences. The children have also been exploring numicon shapes and their value. Using their knowledge of numicon, the children have been learning how to effectively add two, one digit numbers togethers.

In History this week we continued to focus our learning around Florence Nightingale. This week we looked at pictures of hospitals from the 1820's and hospitals in 2020. We discussed the characteristics of each. We recorded our finding on the working wall. The children spoke comparatively to discuss the similarities and differences.
The children were then invited to use a variety of materials to create their own hospitals. Some groups had time to label their models.
