This week in Maths we have been learning all about the mathematics term, 'subtraction'. We discussed the different words we could you to represent subtraction. We then used children to model some subtraction questions. For example 6 - 2 = . Six children were asked to come to the front, another child checked that there were six children, we then subtracted two children. The children sat down. We then had our answer. The answer is how many children are still standing up. The children then performed some subtraction questions using counters.

In English, the children have been writing their character description up in near after working through them with an adult considering how they can be improved. The children also drew some pictures to accompany their work.

We have continued rehearsing for the nativity. We are very excited because a new stage has arrived for us to use!

Have a lovely weekend!
