Cley Nature Reserve

We have had a fantastic day consolidating our learning on animals and their habitats at Cley Nature Reserve.
On the beach the children had the opportunity to do some ‘beach combing’ and create art work with the items they had collected. The children were exceptionally creative with their designs and could reason their choice of materials. They also played some games on the beach.
On the reserve, the children really enjoyed dyke dipping; they caught lots of wonderful creatures and identified them using identification mats. Whilst on the reserve, the children enjoyed going for a walk, some children walked to the large shingle ridge whilst other groups walked to a bird hide on the reserve and used binoculars and books to recognise lots of wildlife.
The children’s behaviour has been outstanding all day, they have represented the school in such a mature way.
